It’s been twenty years since I started my first business.
I had no clue what I was doing or how to do it.
Just a heart full of passion, a great idea and desire to help others.
Since starting that tiny business supporting women in Africa I’ve
– studied business and change
– taught business and change and
– started other businesses that have helped women through times of change to bring their dreams and businesses to life.
It’s been a big personal and professional journey.
A long road, and at times, a hard one.
But that’s why I can help others.
Because I know the territory.
Have done the miles.
Have had the experiences and learned from them.
There’s an awful lot I don’t know and still have to learn.
But it’s so lovely to get recognised for what I do and to be a finalist in the Women With Altitude Business Awards.
Here’s to recognising all of us who are out there sharing our passion and ideas and overcoming adversity.
Thanks @womenwithaltitude for making this a great milestone on my journey.
A word from Andrea Turner-Boys, founder of WWA and the awards. “We look forward to this time each year where we celebrate and champion the achievements of individuals and businesses from our region.
Each Finalist has been chosen for outstanding contributions in their field”.
